Hi!

I'm new here (obviously)...okay, not completely new. I had an account, like, ages ago. Now it's time for a fresh start!

So, I call myself Roach, I'm a trained Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Concept Artist though I did a 360° job change, went to university got my degrees in History and Ethnology and finished training as an Archivist and am still in love with this occupation. I spent the last six years focusing on academics, did research (I'm specialized in warfare history) and taught causes about narration and design in Video- and Tabletop-Games in university classes. I also got the chance to teach teens Level design in summer courses. All of this was fun but it wasn't the same as back then, when I was younger and art was basically what paid my bills. Besides freelance jobs I only drew for myself, family or the museum I work for. The main creative outlet since then has been story writing and character creations for my regular tabletop-games (forever GM for the win!) and crafting. I sell resin crafts (mostly dice), charms and things I sew at local conventions. I wouldn't trade it but...well, I missed sharing art on the internet, meeting other amazing artists from all over the world, talking, getting feedback and getting better at what I do.

So yeah, this is why I decided to at least get back on track with it. Re-activating some old accounts and just enjoying what I love again.
